Terms of use
The ground rules that keep Nawiri Institute fair for learners, tutors and the employers who rely on our certificates.
1. Your account
You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else has used it.
2. Acceptable use
- Do not break the law or use the service to harm, harass or deceive others.
- Do not try to get around security, copy the platform, or disrupt other people's use of it.
- Do not copy, record or redistribute course videos and materials outside Nawiri Institute.
3. Honesty in assessments
A certificate is only worth something if it was earned fairly. You must not:
- share assessment questions or answers with anyone, or ask for them;
- let someone else sit an assessment for you, or sit one for someone else;
- use tools or methods that give you an unfair advantage.
We may cancel a result, and revoke a certificate, where we find misconduct. A revoked certificate will show as revoked when it is verified.
4. Tutors and course content
Tutors keep ownership of the courses they create. By submitting a course, a tutor gives Nawiri Institute a licence to host, show, promote and distribute it on the platform for as long as it is published. Tutors must only upload content they have the right to use, and we may reject or remove content that does not meet our review standards.
5. What a certificate is
A Nawiri Institute certificate confirms that a learner completed a course and passed its assessment. It is a certificate of completion and assessment. It is not an accredited qualification and does not replace a degree, diploma or licence from a recognised institution or regulator.
6. Availability
We aim to keep Nawiri Institute running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, pause or withdraw features and courses.
7. Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Nawiri Institute is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made by an employer or anyone else relying on a certificate. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Ending your account
You may stop using Nawiri Institute at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
